Information We Collect and How We Use It:
Melissa Pyne Counselling Services collects certain information from and about its users three ways: directly from our web server logs, cookies, the user including in response to surveys, enrolment to mailing list and requests for additional information.
a. Web Server Logs
When you visit our website, we may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage. Examples of information we track may include:
Your internet protocol address
The kind of browser and/or computer you use
The number of links you click within the site
The province or country from which you accessed the site
The date and time of your visit
The name of your internet service provider
The web page you linked to our site from
The pages you viewed on the site
Our website uses Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our website. We anonymize this data at the point of collection and automatically delete user and event data that is older than two years.
c. Personal Information of Users
Visitors to our website may be permitted to register to purchase products and services. When you register, we will request some personal information such as name, email, telephone number and/or other relevant information. If you are purchasing an item, we may request financial information. Any financial information we collect is used solely to bill you for the item you purchased. If you purchase by credit card, this information may be forwarded to your credit card provider. For other types of registrations, we will ask for the relevant information. You may also be asked to disclose personal information to us so that we can provide assistance and information to you. For example, such data may be warranted in order to provide online technical support and troubleshooting.

Use of Web Beacons or GIF Files:
Melissa Pyne Counselling Services web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons – sometimes also called single-pixel gifs – that allow us to count users who have visited those pages.Melissa Pyne Counselling Services may include web beacons in promotional email messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon.
Some of these web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications. These web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer. All data sent via website forms is passed through a third party relay service and deleted after 30 days.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Children Under 18:
We do not specifically market to or knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 for marketing purposes. Because some information is collected online, it may not appear to be the personal information of a child under 18. If a child under 18 submits personal information to us, and we learn that the personal information is the information of a child under 18, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.
